Why a money manager

Could you answer these right now?

Most of us can’t — and it’s rarely about earning too little. The answers are just scattered across apps, statements, and a spreadsheet that quietly gave up months ago.

01

Where did it actually go?

You got paid. Then somehow it’s gone. Moniqo turns every statement you import into a clear picture — what you spent, on whom, and which quiet little subscription is still charging you each month.

02

What’s coming next?

The rent cheque. The EMI. The renewal you forgot about. Moniqo shows what’s due before it lands — your next salary, your next rent cheque, and the month your loans finally hit zero.

03

Where is all of it?

An account here, a card there, some money in another currency. Moniqo pulls it together into one view and converts everything to your currency — so “all of it” finally means something.

And when something quietly creeps up — dining out, a category running hot — Moniqo flags it, before it turns into a habit.

How it's different

Four reasons Moniqo isn't just another tracker

01

Real-world banking depth

Works with the banks and currencies you actually use — every currency, auto-converted to your base. And it goes deeper than most trackers: native statement parsers for major banks, a rent-cheque calendar, tax context. New regions and bank parsers being added continuously.

02

Privacy-first

No bank-login aggregators. No analytics on you. No advertising trackers. No third party receives raw transaction text. When AI generates monthly insights, the data passes through a PII-redaction layer first — account numbers, balances, notes and merchant identifiers are scrubbed before anything leaves the server.

03

Operator access needs your permission

When OptiFi staff need to view your data to help with a ticket, you approve via a 6-digit OTP. The session is scoped, 30 minutes long, and revocable instantly. Every record viewed is recorded in an append-only audit table.

04

Family-ready by design

Every record carries a privacy tier from day one. When family sharing arrives you’ll give your spouse full visibility, your teen a view of their allowance, and your kid a pocket-money pot — without sharing your salary, loans, or tax planning.

Who it's for

Built for money that spans banks, cards and currencies

Anyone juggling multiple accounts and currencies — especially across borders. A few of the people we built it for:

Professionals

Salary in one account, savings in another, a couple of cards and a loan. I just want to see where it all goes and what’s coming up.

Import your statements, watch spending sort itself by category, and see your salary and bills on one timeline — with a debt-free date for the loan.

Freelancers

My income is lumpy and my expenses are scattered across cards, wallets and subscriptions I keep forgetting about.

Track irregular income and expenses in one place, catch the subscriptions quietly renewing, and see your real monthly burn at a glance.

Families

Two incomes, shared bills, money sent home, and kids who’ll have their own allowances soon. We want shared visibility without sharing everything.

Per-record privacy from day one — so when family sharing arrives you can give a partner full visibility and a teen a limited view, without exposing everything.

Features

Everything below is shipped, not roadmap.

Multi-bank accounts

Track AED · INR · USD · GBP across every account and card you use.

PDF + CSV statement import

Native parsers for major banks built in. Encrypted PDFs supported. Generic CSV for the rest.

Auto-categorisation

5,500+ merchant catalogue tags imports automatically. Correct once — it learns.

Receipts on the go

Snap a receipt with the rear camera. On-device OCR extracts amount, vendor, date.

Debt-free projection

“All loans clear by August 2029.” Visible on the dashboard, every day.

Anomaly detection

Spend 2σ above your 90-day category mean? You get an alert before it compounds.

Salary + rent countdown

See your next salary and next rent cheque on the dashboard — handy anywhere rent is paid by cheque.

Splits, tags, budgets

One bill across categories. Free-form tags. Per-category budgets with 80%/100% alerts.

AI that answers, never acts

Ask about your money and get answers from your own figures — read-only, scoped to you, never used for training. It can prepare an entry; only you can save it.

Plus: vendor learning · CSV/JSON exports · 3 locales (en-AE · en-IN · Arabic RTL) · TOTP MFA · active-session control · 30-day deletion grace.

Ask Moniqo — your AI financial assistant

An interactive, predictive AI finance agent that knows your money. Ask in plain English; get answers, anomaly alerts and proactive recommendations from your own data — with PII redacted before the AI ever sees it.

Interactive & conversational

Ask plain-English questions — “how much did I spend on groceries?”, “which subscriptions should I review?” — and Moniqo answers from your own data, conversationally.

Predictive intelligence

Subscriptions creeping up, a category running hot, an unusual charge — Moniqo flags it before it compounds and surfaces proactive recommendations.

Private by architecture

Monthly insights are PII-redacted before the AI sees them. In-app chat can read your own data — read-only, only to answer your question, never to train, never sold.

How we keep your money private

Four layers of privacy. Three you can verify yourself.

1

Your data lives in our database, not theirs

Hosted in secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure that only OptiFi can reach. No aggregators. Your statements come from you — the PDFs your bank emails — never a credentialed screen-scrape.

2

Our staff can’t read your transactions

To help with a ticket, an operator must request a support session. You see a notification, type a 6-digit code into your own dashboard to approve. Scoped to 30 minutes, revocable any time, recorded in an audit table no one — including us — can edit or delete.

3

AI access is scoped, read-only and confirm-gated

Answers start from a PII-scrubbed summary — “groceries up 23%”, not your card number. When a question needs specifics, the assistant reads your own rows only: scoped to your account, scrubbed of identifiers, and audited per lookup. It can prepare an entry, but it cannot save one — you tap Confirm. Your data is never used to train models, and a CI check fails the build if any code path but the one audited module talks to an AI service.

4

Verifiable, not just promised

Our security page lays it all out in plain English — every operator-access pattern and the full architecture — so you can check how it works rather than take our word for it.

Pricing

FAQ

The questions people actually ask

Is Moniqo a bank?

No. Moniqo is a personal finance tracker. We have no banking licence and we don’t hold money. Your bank is the source of truth — we are the lens.

Do you connect to my bank account?

No. Moniqo imports the PDF and CSV statements your bank already emails you. We don’t store your bank credentials and we don’t run a credentialed scrape. There is no bank-login aggregator integration of any kind.

Is Moniqo an alternative to apps that connect to your bank?

Many money apps connect to your bank using a third-party aggregator (such as Plaid, Tink or MX) and read your transactions in real time. Moniqo takes a different approach: you import the PDF or CSV statements your bank already emails you, so there are no stored bank credentials and no third-party data pipeline. Neither approach is universally better — but if you’d rather not hand over bank logins, Moniqo is built for you.

What currencies does Moniqo support?

Every currency. The app is currency-agnostic — track accounts and cards in any currency, and Moniqo automatically converts everything into your chosen base currency using live, cached exchange rates.

Can I track banks from different countries in one account?

Yes. Add accounts and cards from any banks you use, in any currencies, and Moniqo consolidates them into one view in your base currency. It goes deeper than most trackers — with native statement parsers for major banks today, and new regions and parsers being added continuously.

Can I ask Moniqo questions in plain English?

Yes. Ask Moniqo is built into every account — ask in plain English (“how much did I spend on groceries?”, “which subscriptions should I review?”) and get answers from your own data. It reads only your own data, read-only and never for training, and it can prepare an entry but never save one — you tap Confirm. Free, with a sensible monthly limit.

Is Moniqo an AI personal finance assistant?

Yes. Moniqo is built around an AI personal finance assistant (“Ask Moniqo”) that answers questions about your money in plain English — backed by automatic categorisation, anomaly detection, salary-and-rent countdowns and monthly insights. It reads only your own data, read-only and never for training, and is free with a sensible monthly limit.

Can your team see my transactions?

No — your data isn’t ours to browse, and we never look without your explicit permission. If you ask for help and resolving it genuinely needs a look, you approve a one-time, time-limited support session with a 6-digit code: scoped to that support task, fully logged, and revocable anytime. If a genuine emergency ever required access without prior consent, it would follow a documented “break-glass” procedure — tightly restricted and fully logged. Support access exists to help you — not to see your data.

Where is my data stored?

In secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure — encrypted in transit and at rest, with nightly encrypted backups. If you need data residency in a specific jurisdiction, that’s an enterprise-tier conversation: same code, different deployment region.

Which banks do you support for PDF import?

We support PDF statements from major banks, with new banks being added continuously. Encrypted (password-protected) PDFs work, and CSV import works for any bank that can export to a spreadsheet.

Is Moniqo available in Arabic?

Yes. Moniqo supports English (en-AE, en-IN) and Arabic with full right-to-left layout.

Can I export my data?

Every list page has a Download menu (CSV or JSON). A full account export is also one click away from your privacy settings.

Can I delete my account?

Yes — with a 30-day grace period. Within that window you can restore. After 30 days your data is purged.

What happens to my data if Moniqo shuts down?

We’d give you a minimum 60 days’ notice and email you a full data export.

Where can I report a security issue?

Email security@moniqo.me. We acknowledge within 48 hours.

Your money, across every bank and currency, finally calm.
